World’s largest aerial projection screen
n March 2018, Dubai achieved the world record by setting aerial screen of 300 foot across Dubai’s skyline hauled by Bell 212 helicopters. The second Bell 212 displayed a “year of Zayed” short film highlighting the values and life – the great father of the nation. The video was very memorable as it showed the true ambitious spirit of the nation pioneer. The screen started from Skydive Dubai to Zabeel park 1 and can easily be viewed up to 3 kilometers. The helicopters started from Skydive and flew over the Dubai Creek for about 90 minutes.
World’s Tallest Tower
Since 2008, Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the whole world. The Burj holds amazing records within itself such as a high number of floors-160, the fastest elevator reaching you to the top within seconds. The high electricity substation on floor 155 and 12000 men worked 22 million hours to make the mega structure.
World’s tallest sculpture made of chocolate
The sculpture in the shape of Burj Khalifa was situated at Dubai international airport in 2014. The yummy replica is 13.52 meters in length and is made by Andrew Farrugia. The chocolate cubes of 500 tonnes in separate 500 boxes reached Dubai with extra care. It took weeks for the team to build it but unfortunately, it was removed after 2 weeks on the basis of health concerns.
World’s longest painting
In 2015, around 20,000 students from the UAE made the world’s longest painting record. The painting was created to raise autism awareness. The final picture has 10,850 meters brush burning length. The painting was made on the flat long surface of Dubai Autodrome.
World’s biggest indoor theme park
In 2016, Dubai attracted millions of tourists to the opening of IMG world- world’s biggest theme park. The daily visitor of the IMG world breaks the record around the world. The indoor theme park has haunted hotel, 5D movie shows, and multiplex 12-screen cinema. The theme park covers 1.5 million feet square area and is largest in the world.
World largest water screen projection
Dubai has a lot of water attractions and it shows its love for water being a city of the desert. In 2016, Dubai achieved the world record for the largest water screen projection. The light projection of 893 sqm displayed on the mist and fountain of 30 water curtains gave an amazing view. The 360-degree show also displayed fireworks, dancing, and music. There were millions of eyes to see the sparkling view.
World’s longest gold chain
Dubai is known for best jewelry around the globe and people prefer to shop from here because of designing and superb gold quality. In 2015, Dubai made the record in the longest gold chain of 5 km long and 240 kgs in weight. 4 million links were used in making the chain in 45 days with 100 craftsmen working on it. It was created on the 20th anniversary of Dubai shopping festival and later on, it was sold to buyers in the form of small chains.
World’s largest origami mosaic
In 2016, Guinness book of records published another achievement of Dubai which was the largest origami mosaic measuring 1,090.98 square meters. The mosaic was located on JBR for a week. Blue and white flowers shaped to form a remarkable design which took over a portion of Jumeirah Beach Residence. The mosaic was made from individual 45000 origami handmade pieces and measured 110.2 m in length and 9.9 meters in width.
World's biggest shopping mall by total area
Constructed in 2008, the Dubai Mall is the largest mall in the world by total area. It attracts 5 million people every month. The beautiful view of the dancing fountain made it an evening spot for everyone. The biggest indoor fish aquarium is another attraction as it has more than 1000 different types of fishes. Everyone loves candies and Dubai mall has the biggest candy shop-Candylicious. The mall is all in one, best for shopping, eating and entertainment, regardless of age.
World’s largest acrylic panel
Dubai Aquarium and Discovery Centre at The Dubai Mall, in November 4, 2008, clinched the Guinness World Record for the ‘World's Largest Acrylic Panel'.
Measuring 32.88 metres wide, 8.3 metres high, 750 mm thick and weighing 245,614 kg, the acrylic viewing panel at Dubai Aquarium and Discovery Centre surpasses the previous Guinness World Record holder, Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, Japan, which is 22.5 metres wide, 8.2 metres high and 600 mm thick.
At 750 mm thick, the acrylic viewing panel is built to withstand the enormous pressure of 10 million litres of water used in the aquarium, but transparent enough to give visitors clear views of the 33,000 plus marine animals on display.
